Message From the Universe: Why Settle for Less?

"Has it occurred to you that you could ask for more?

Not just more than what you now have, but more than you're now asking for?

This is why I'm HOT,
The Universe"

The Universe is limitless, as far as the eyes or telescope can see or estimate. Beyond our Universe, we have other Universes, based on String Theory, and these parallel Universe are probably bigger and more vast than ours. Many planets in our solar system are 1000 times larger than Earth itself, which can allow to assume that the same applies to our galaxies or Universe. Our thoughts can control more than what you can imagine, so since this is the case, might as well ask for more than you can handle. What do you really have to lose? When you negotiate a contract, you always go for a high number and negotiate downward.

However, when asking for more in this case, you will aim for something bigger than you can grasp, which in return, will render the results that you would have never expected. Keep on dreaming big, keep on asking for more of the great things and whatever you get in return will always be more than what you ever dreamed of. If you are asking for a billion dollars but only get 100 000 000, it may only represent 10%, but it is still better if you allowed yourself to have limited expectations. You need to look at everything in your life with positive perspective, so even if the Universe negotiates with you at a lesser amount, it will still be spectacular.

Abundance is out there for all of us to grasp but it is up to us to know and believe what we deserve. There is a difference between being entitled and expect or wanting more. On the one hand, you feel entitled to have things that you didn't do much for it, expecting life to provide for you of the things that you believe should be given to you but not do much in return to show appreciation. On the other hand, wanting more is because you worked your butt off and learn to never settle for less, knowing for a fact that if you do not ask for more than what you are expecting, someone else will have that peace of the pie. There is enough for everyone, so just ask and never give up on asking the Universe for what you really want, and go above and beyond that at all times. You believe that your hard work and ethics deserve what's coming to you, and you want to be on the front row seat when you see your life change in the right direction.

It is said: "Be careful what you wish for", well my advice is DO NOT BE CAREFUL for what you wish for because this is a calculated step that you took to get to where you want to be in life. What do you need to be careful about abundance? Will you not be able to deal with a wealth of several hundred million dollars in your bank account? Are you afraid to drive a Lambo or Ferrari? Worrying about getting a 50 000 sq ft home instead of 25 000 and who will be maintaining it? Stop worrying and when you face this problem, if you can call this a problem, I am sure you will be happy enough to make a decision based on the wealth you possess. Keep on dreaming, and make sure your dreams are so big that they scare the hell out of you.

Live Your Bliss Life

So what is this bliss thing and how do I get it?

The definition as found online is:

Bliss: "perfect happiness; great joy." "Reach a state of perfect happiness, typically so as to be oblivious of everything else."

This doesn't mean it has to be 100% of the time. Being in bliss (or a state of bliss) for any length of time is the goal.

Finding your bliss is a process and one that I don't think has an end but one that becomes more enjoyable and dare I say blissful? You'll get there, just be easy on yourself.

There are four key areas that can assist you in getting to your bliss or "state of bliss". Think of them as CHIP: Choice, Heart, Intention and Perception.

1. Choice: "an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities"
Happiness is a choice. Oh how I did not like hearing that the first time. What do you mean it's a choice! I didn't ask for these horrible things to happen to me, and I'm supposed to choose to be happy about it!? Have you lost your mind? How dare you tell me it's a choice! Well, it kind of is...

I know, I know, you're life sob story means you can't be happy and you can't be happy until... I meet the perfect mate, until I rid myself of my current mate, until I'm rich, until I'm out of debt, until I have my own home, until I have a new car, until I get a bigger boat and on and on.

Now, you could get all defiant and start in about how babies don't have a choice and therefore this can't be true. Okay, fine, if that's how you "choose" to see it, then so it is. And then you say, I didn't CHOOSE it, it is how it is! We can keep going in circles here if you'd like, OR

• What if... you choose a more positive point of view when looking at a situation (yes, the glass can be half full instead of half empty)
• What if... you choose to find joy in the moment, any moment, one moment
• What if... you don't wait for that thing to make me happy, or that person to make me happy and just decide to be happy, just smile already!
• What if... you laugh for no other reason than it feels good
• What if... you choose to decide you can make a choice to be happy and choose to look at the good things in life and not focus on the bad
• What if... you are grateful for everything, and not just the BIG things

• It may be tough at first to come up with a list of 10 things to be grateful for. They may seem very small and "stupid". Like my pillow. I love my pillow and my bed and having a window next to it where a cool breeze can come in and my dogs laying at my feet, etc. There are so many things that we just take for granted and don't even think about. But, if you are someone that has no clean water or fresh air, you better believe those would be HUGE items on their list so why not yours?
• I am happy/peaceful in nature, but I get that it's not for everyone and that's fine. I do love my yard, it's like my own sanctuary/park. There was a time I only saw my yard as more work and something to be upset about, but now I see it as my happy place and it doesn't feel like "work" anymore.
• That's the cool part, there isn't ONE thing for everyone, but everyone can have their own thing/s.

And by the way, where is it written that we're supposed to be unhappy "until" anyway? When I chose to change my perspective and looked at this in a different way, well, I thought, why can't I choose to be happy! Who gets to set the rules about when and why to be happy, I DO! I'm tired of other people or my old thought patterns telling me why I can't be happy. Man, are we a negative bunch of folks or what? How about we start talking about why we can be happy!

2. Heart: "the central or innermost part of something; like very much; love". Coming from your heart instead of your head is a simple way to help you find a more positive perspective. Many don't realize their perspective is coming from thought patterns they've developed over time in their "minds". You just keep repeating the same old thought patterns. Again, it doesn't matter why. Don't get hung up thinking about the why and how of these thoughts, just know you have the power to change them. Now, imagine these thoughts funneling through your "heart" first and over time they start to become more positive, loving and uplifting. When you stop yourself as you realize you're having another one of your same old negative thoughts, go to your heart. It may help to put your hand on your heart and then imagine seeing this situation from your heart and funneling through a new channel of love instead of an old channel in your mind.

3. Intention: "a thing intended; an aim or plan". When you wake up in the morning, what is you intention? Do you want to be grumpy, kick the dog, yell at the kids and stomp out the door to that stupid job and those idiot people you have to work with? I doubt anyone purposely intends that this is the kind of day they want to have, but so many times it's what they end up with.

Intention is interesting and I wonder what would happen if more people would stop and ask themselves; what is my intention in this situation or what was their intention in this situation? It seems so often we default to believing that all intentions are bad. They have "evil" intentions. I mean, wouldn't you have to believe that if you are always on the defensive? I need to get them before they get me mentality. Why? Do you believe they have bad intentions for you? Do you have bad intentions for them? Is this negative view helping you or anyone?

Let me share an example of what I mean. Let's say your child pulls out your favorite flowers in the garden and brings them and the dirt into your just cleaned house and you go ballistic. You yell at them and tell them how stupid they are and look what they've done! Now YOU have to clean again! You send them to their room and you cry over your dirty carpet and the missing flowers in the garden.

Was the child's intention to make a mess and destroy the flower garden? Your reaction was as if it were. OR were they wanting to give the Mom they love unconditionally the beautiful flowers they saw her admiring and surprise her with a bouquet that they pulled all by themselves with their very own hands? Kind of stops ya cold doesn't it. What do you suppose their perspective is now?

And what was your intention in screaming at your child? Were you teaching them a lesson? If so, what lesson were you intending to teach? Do you see where I'm going here?

If you do something with good intentions, and it goes bad, does that mean what you did was wrong? No. If you do something with bad intentions and it turns out good, does that mean what you did was wrong? Yes.
If you wake up with an intention of getting even and I'll show them, how do you suppose your day will look? How do you suppose you'll come across to others? And how will they respond? And when they respond poorly to your presence, you then say SEE, I told you so, and then you justify why you're in a foul mood! Funny how that works isn't it. So;

• What if... upon awaking you set an intention of having a GREAT day, of being happy, of doing something nice for someone else just because.
• Just lay there in bed for a couple extra minutes, taking some deep breathes and setting some intentions and smile
• What if... instead of assuming the worst about someone, you find out what their intention is before you make a negative judgment or just start assuming they have good intentions until otherwise shown

How many disagreements and hurts could have been avoided if the intentions had been to help and heal and not to be "right" or "win" at all cost.

4. Perspective: "a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view."
Perspective is what you want it to be. I mean, isn't it funny how people have such differing perspectives of the same situation? How can this be? Do I need to bring up politics?

If you have decided (for whatever reason/s) that everything you do and every situation you "look at" is going to be bad or negative and you are always the victim, then guess what? IT IS and YOU ARE! And hey, if you're okay with that, then more power to ya, own it! But just know, you're not going to find bliss in this condition.

If you're not okay with it and instead of continuing a behavior just because it's how it's always been, then;
• What if... you start to notice or just acknowledge you may be looking at things in a negative way (doesn't matter why) and;
• What if... you stop yourself and your thoughts as soon as you notice they are negative thoughts (perspectives) and you begin replacing them with more upbeat thoughts and finding a more upbeat perspective of a situation (the glass is half full or half empty).

It may be a bit bumpy at first and that's OK! It's a process. Stopping yourself from going into your pity party is tough when it's all you've known. BUT if you want something different you have to do something different.

Assume the best in situations and in people. Instead of walking around with your head down assuming everyone is out to get you; hold your head up, put a smile on your face and say HELLO to a stranger! You will be amazed at how good just doing that feels. And, you may have just made someone else's day and that should make you happy cause we are all in this together.

Set an intention of doing well, of being good. Set an intention of love, being love, expecting love. Set an intention of living in bliss, of being happy, of living joyfully. These could also be mantras or I AM statements. I AM love, I AM bliss, I AM happy, I AM compassion, etc. and start your morning with those.

It's okay if you're not 100% happy all the time. You get to choose and just knowing you can might make all the difference. If you're intentions are good and your perspective is positive, then getting to happy becomes easier. If something goes wrong (as it will) you can allow yourself some time to be grumpy or sad and then tell myself, okay, that's enough, time to get on with it!

Have we found our bliss yet? CHIP in and move through the process and I know you will!

Soul message: Lighten up on yourselves. Stop beating yourself up for every little thing. You have nothing to prove and are beautiful souls just as you are. It is your right to be happy and you are worthy of happiness just for being. Enjoy the bliss.

Freelancing 101: How to Get Yourself Motivated (By Elizabeth Galit)

Woman In White Blazer Holding Tablet Computer
Lots of people talk about freelancing in the way they make it sound like it's always a vacation. As a freelancer, I can somehow attest to that, since I always find to have the option of putting off work and take a nap instead. Very few people to no one won't tell us the biggest problem of freelancing - how to get your work done throughout the day.

Let's face it - the comfort of our home tempts us to just sit back, relax and do nothing. This happens a lot to me, and whenever I do it, I always find that I have to pay for it in the end. Either I don't sleep at all to reach a deadline or I don't have money in my bank account. Worse, both.

So what can you do to keep yourself motivated and finish your work without cramming for the deadline? Here are a few simple tips.

1. Have an early morning. I've read somewhere that waking up at 6 am helps you get motivated to do heavy tasks for the day. This has been so hard for me to achieve since I am on certain medications that give me late nights. But will power is indeed, powerful. Make it a habit to wake up as early as possible everyday to get more things done throughout the day.

2. A few stretching and a glass of fruit juice does the trick. I'm not sure if you've experienced this, but there are mornings when you feel like you're so tired and feel so heavy you think you can't lift a finger and start working. Try stretching a little bit and drink some fruit juice (usually orange juice or anything citrus-ey) to make you feel refreshed and energized.

3. Make a schedule for the day. Even if you're working at home, creating a schedule as if you're in a full time job helps big time. Assign a certain time and make it your work-begins-at time. And make sure there's also work-ends-at time, just like when you're in an office.

4. Take time to relax. This is the beauty of working from home. You get to take coffee breaks like, every hour. Make sure you don't ogle on your computer all day long. This is important: AVOID WORKING MEALS! Go to the kitchen for lunch, peep out the window, go to the veranda for coffee. Your computer table is just for work, okay? Okay.

5. Rewards never fail. In my personal experience, gone were the days when I would get motivated by higher salary. I no longer look forward to lots of money, but the things I can buy with it makes me pretty much excited. Treat yourself after a big project - go to an expensive Italian restaurant all by yourself or watch a movie or go out of town and look forward to these to keep yourself motivated. Keep in mind that although we are freelancers and we have all the time in the world in our hands, we still work so we need that much awaited break!

6. Self-discipline and positive perspective is the vital key. Of course, if you can't discipline yourself, then you won't be able to do anything. For me, it's focusing on the positive things that work. Don't forget to meditate and be thankful for the new day and think of the good deeds you can contribute today. It makes me feel good and somehow productive, too.

Improving Your Self-Image

Who we are seems to be the most important issue in our life. Our personality is how the world knows us. It was created from the habits we learned beginning as a very young child. We developed those habits by the way people related to us, especially the significant people in our family. Also, the habits formed by the way we related to the external world helped teach us who we are. The personality is like the clothes we wear; it covers us so we are accepted.

Our self-image is how we relate to ourselves. This also was primarily developed by habits from our personality, but it is our self- image that is connected to the Wisdom of the Body. A conscious self-image was from conscious habits, where you were in the moment with a positive perspective. A conditioned self-image came from your conditioned habits and is not connected to inner wisdom. A conditioned self-image is not bad, but it is a negative self-image because of it's limitations in connecting to the moment. A conditioned or negative self-image makes your awareness stop at your habits. The conscious or positive self-image allows awareness to go beyond conditioning and connect to the Wisdom of the Body.

As an adult, we have a choice with what image we relate to: the one conditioned by our environment or a self-image consciously created connected to the Wisdom of the Body. When a person faces a challenge they were not taught to deal with, they will ideally create a conscious self-image. This is especially true when dealing with a chronic illness. The Wisdom of the Body has powerful inner resources to enable you to become an active partner with the doctor and not become a victim. This is also true in having a loving relationship, having a job that challenges you and having a quality life, regardless of what you do or own.

Most people are so identified with their conditioned self-image, they don't put energy into developing a new self-image. This can happen in many ways, but you need to be open to submit yourself to a change. A positive self-image can be developed in a loving relationship, a rewarding job or with many types of recognition in any part of a successful life. Success isn't limited to being wealthy, for many people who are wealthy do not live a quality life as a whole person.

It is possible to create a positive self-image when you are trapped in the world of your negative or conditioned self. If you look back in your past and identify with the most positive experience you remember, you will find a time where your body experienced the effect of a positive self-image. Unfortunately, that part of you wasn't reinforced over time, so you didn't create the habits needed for a positive self-image.

It is never too late to build on that experience and develop a new conscious self-image. In fact, sometimes it is essential to develop a positive one, even though your habits formed in the past may not reinforce this change. Having the new self-image to fit into your life, you need to consciously re-condition your sub-conscious mind. This can happen if you consciously connect to the new self-image before you go to sleep and upon awakening. This is when the doors to the sub-conscious are open and strong habits can be developed. It takes about ten days to develop a strong habit, so you have to do this conditioning in the morning and at night. To do this, recall the memory of that positive experience and feel it.

Here are the benefits of a conscious/positive self-image: In relationships, when the positive self of one person relates to the positive self of another person, there is a strong commitment. In a romantic relationship, the expression of the heart becomes very easy and the commitment becomes stronger. At work, you do your job more efficiently, more creatively and with a better attitude. In a spiritual sense, you have an easier time transcending to a depth beyond unfinished business and with a heartfelt approach connecting to God, or whatever you believe in. Basically, your conscious/positive self creates a high quality of life.

Quit Being Negative!

Point 1: Positive Attitudes Always Stand Out!

In today's world, negativity runs rampant. People often tout themselves as being realistic or just 'looking at the facts' when they are actually choosing a
negative mentality.

We all know the types of people that see the worst case scenario before ideas are fully developed. These types of people are detrimental to everyone's efforts.

When people look at the brighter, positive perspective they become more productive. When people believe they can accomplish something they are much more likely to actually reach their goal. Negative thinking is a hindrance to success and happiness.

Point 2: Happiness is a Choice!

Happiness isn't a fleeting thing that is only occurs during a vacation or right after a business win. Happiness is a choice and it needs to be cultivated, like any other important thing.

When people take a stance of happiness they are much less likely to allow small setbacks to affect their attitudes. We all have the ability to force bad experiences or unkind words to roll off our backs.

Happiness allows us to focus on what matters most and on what we want to achieve. Other people's opinions matter less when we have a positive perspective.

We have to rise above negative thinking and detrimental attitudes. Each of us possesses the power to be happy and positive.

Point 3: Nothing can be Accomplished Without Confidence!

We have to hold our heads high and expect greatness from ourselves! If you expect the worst, then you are setting yourself up for failure. Self-fulfilling prophecies are all too real. We truly become what we think about. If you think bad things are about to happen, you are probably right. However, if you expect great things are ahead you can lead yourself directly to success.

When people confidently stride through life it seems as though success just follows them around. They seem to have the world handed to them and that makes them confident. This is the wrong way of looking at the situation.

The real secret to success is being confident in your efforts. These people are not confident because they have achieved success, they are confident in themselves and therefore become successful.

Many people think they should only be confident once the have achieved their goals. This is backwards to the reality of the situation. If you want to successful, have confidence in your abilities and be positive in your attitude.

Bringing it all Together:

Each of us could make an effort to be in a better mood. Every person in the world would benefit from smiling a little bit more.

We can't sulk through life expecting bad things to happen. We have to look for the good, expect the best outcomes, and work to impact others positively. Be confident in your value as a person, employee, or a spouse.

It's time for all of us to quit being negative and start being awesome!
