Can You Really Make Yourself Happy?

Many people talk about how you make yourself happy and how it's not someone else who makes you happy.

I say that you make yourself angry, and no one can make you angry other than yourself, but I disagree with saying you can make yourself happy on your own just by choosing to be happy.

Being angry and being happy are not the same. Anger is due to your interpretation of an event, but happiness requires fulfilling your need to be valuable, just like hunger requires food.

In order to be valuable, someone has to value you. Diamonds and gold are worthless if no one is willing to pay for them. Likewise, you are worthless if you are not serving a useful purpose in some way, and your subconscious mind knows this. There is no way around it, it's the nature of the human spirit.

Happiness can be increased through the process of removing or eliminating negative emotions. Simply by not being negative or angry, you will by default, be happier. But true deep happiness and self-satisfaction comes when you are useful in some way and so you feel worthy of your existence.

Finding love and a relationship of course does that, because you are loved and wanted, but also a job that is in a way useful, charity work, creating something of beauty every day, in these ways, you are useful and making other people's lives or day a little better. My motto is; 'Everyday, make someone smile.'

If you can do this you will be happy, but if you are only looking at yourself, that happiness is short lived and shallow and cannot last. This is why buying new cloths or toys is a short lived happiness, it only serves your human ego and not your deeper heart.

If you cannot find lasting happiness in your life, then it is obvious, you are looking in the wrong place. You cannot give it to yourself, you cannot simply choose to be happy and actually be happy for very long before the imagination wears off. There is something else. Allegorically we could say, another world, another dimension, is where your happiness lies.

A change in your view of how to be happy is required. You cannot make yourself happy alone. Happiness requires being useful in some way, and that means there must be someone else involved.

When you accept that you are forever dependent on someone else for your happiness and self-satisfaction, you will no longer be like Harry looking for his keys in the garden when he lost them in the house. Why is he looking in the garden? his friend asked him. 'Because the light is much better out here.'

The flashy things of life are easy to see, and the marketing tells us that will make us happy. But the real happiness comes from something outside of you which gives meaning to your life. That may be hidden and harder to find, but it is there.

Do not be lazy in your search. Start looking for what may be as alien to your concepts as another world. You are dependent on water, food, air and shelter to keep your body alive. You are equally dependent on other people to give you a purpose in your life to keep your soul happy and your heart and mind at peace.

Happiness Is Not a One Size Fits All Benefit or Outer Expression

Image result for being happy

***Think of your jovial tone as something innate and individual. Keep some forms of joy hidden from the view of others that only want to exploit you- or your talents and gifts. I know of so many fantastic artists from different disciplines, that could command a great income. They dazzle by their own inborn way of processing songs, tones, melodies and crafts. Almost as if the artwork is being channeled from their very physical being, a bloodstream of talented veins of power and knowledge, in so many ways. They have the pulse on the heartbeat of creativity all stored in their mind and big brain.. I often wonder what makes them hide their talents from public view?

No, it's not insecurity or low self-esteem. It's that they are aware that people, corporations and other entities, some with a lot of means, are eager to want to take credit for their skills and talents and to steal from them, constantly. I can only admire their work from afar and know in my heart that I have met probably some of the most talented and guarded artists that one can only imagine. I just know that I understand them and their protective nature about their art getting placed into the wrong hands, and exploited by people that are indifferent to artists in general.

Having the ability to command a feeling is not as hard as we make- believe that it is! If your artwork makes you happy, there is no need to measure your treasure. NO need to have to prove or disprove to anyone that your artwork is good. Sit down and relax and perform your art, skill, gift or craft and do it because it's your own creation and because YOU CAN enjoy it ALONE! Whether it's calligraphy, botany, painting or cooking if it brings you joy, let the energy free-flow from your heart and hands to your mind and soul! Come on, let go and enjoy making yourself happy. Enjoy releasing the wealth of creative energy that flows through your blood and veins. You'll be glad that you completed your masterpiece before the end of your life. Perhaps you'll leave a legacy behind for family or extended friends or distant relatives. True Story: I heard of a man in North Africa that painted every day of his life and when he died, his painting's were discovered. He had painted so much AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL artwork, during his lifetime, that his artwork was placed in a museum. His artwork became a treasure for his country and the higher courts decided that they were valuable and represented the country very eloquently. The courts decided that this treasure find was so great that it commanded an ability to be displayed for others to see and appreciate, and this was decided after his death. ** He made himself happy, while he was alive, and made others happy after he died. What an amazing legacy he left behind!

Decide to make yourself happy on a daily basis-Go to your happy habit, space, or place where other people congregate, or to the slow, upbeat tempo in the music that you seek. Happiness and joy are subjective, though please know that the principles for contentment are all the same. If we were to define contentment as a condition or a prerequisite for something new or different what exactly would that something be?

I enjoy learning from you and from others offering me knowledge continuously!

Message From the Universe: Be True to Yourself, That's What Matters!

"At the end of the day, no matter how they behaved, no matter what was said, and no matter how things turned out, rest assured, dear friend, that your goodness was known by all.

You rock,
The Universe"

Everything that you do on a day to day basis should be aimed to make yourself happy. Yes, during that process, you may or may not make others feel the same, but the key is for you to be proud of your accomplishments. Never feel like your actions are not being perceived, and that you try too hard to make others happy at the expense of making yourself miserable. It is important to do your very best to not put anyone in danger, including yourself, when working hard towards your dreams. Do whatever it takes to make them happen so you will never regret anything, whatever the outcome. Not everyone will like how things turn out, and because of your strong determination to make things work, the results can be disappointing. Remember that your intentions were good, and whoever else supported you have to learn that you've done everything in your power to make things succeed, but it doesn't always happen that way. You need a long list of failures to have that ONE success. It takes ONLY one great success to propel you into the stars. Les Brown once said: "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it, you will land among the stars". Very deep and inspirational quote. No matter what you do in life, as long as you put your all into it, you are still a star to everyone who saw your struggles and desires to succeed. That takes a lot of determination that many do not have.

It is easy for people to just look and pray for others to fail because of their lack of desire to make a change in their lives. They get jealous because of your strong desire to succeed, which they do not have. Your love for adventure and stress free mentality makes them wonder how did you achieve this sense of self acceptance. How can you just move forward in life without any worries or concerns if you fail or succeed? What is your secret? All the ones going for their dreams, including me, are somewhat concerned about success or failure. We are NOT immune to it. We sense that risks are involved but we do not let these feelings control our destiny or desires to move forward. We control as much as we can the possible outcome by anticipating errors that might occur. We are not always right but because of the so many failures we had in the past, we manage NOT to repeat the same mistakes and prevent from falling in the same trap. It becomes a gift that is available to EVERYONE on earth who is willing to fail many times to finally acquire this gift. Not many are ready to experience hell before they see heaven. Focus on what you want in life, and don't let anything stop you.
