Message From the Universe: Love Everything You Already Have!

Round Grey and Black Compass
"I'd say the biggest decision of your life was not your career, your marital status, or your home... it was choosing to love as often as you have.
You lover, The Universe" I see many people I have coached in the past settle in their career, their spouse and their living arrangement. They just accepted what life have given them. They stopped looking to better themselves and look for other opportunities to grow. They are afraid of venturing out and seeking new challenges, new options so they can feel proud of their accomplishments and not live life with regrets. Since we do not know of when is our time to go (leave our physical body). it is important to take advantage of the time you have on earth, and make sure you are taking advantage of every single minute you have here. Love everything you do, love every people you meet and greet, love your career, your spouse and where you live. If you are unhappy with those, don't settle. Be willing to make changes, to turn things around for yourself and look for a better life overall. You want to enjoy everything God have given you but you can also challenge yourself to get more out of life. We are all born with a brain, but it is up to you to feed this organ with valuable information and succeed. I agree that some may have talents that others do not, that's a given. However, talents are there because you enable yourself to practice a certain skill that allows you to become great in what you do. Talents will just facilitate and expedite the process of learning that skills, but you still need to practice, no matter what. We are all on the same level when we are born, despite our direct family surroundings and opportunities. Of course, newborns fed with a silver spoon will have access to better education, better opportunities and so much more, unlike the other 99% of the population who do not have that kind of luxury. That doesn't mean that no one on the 99% of the population didn't take initiative on their own and succeeded better than the ones fed with a silver spoon. I have seen so many born in rich families ending up in jail because of drugs use or whatever else. I am aware of some of the reasons why those kind of scenarios happens in rich families but again, it's all about choices you take in your life. You have the control and it is up to you to make the best of everything you have been given in your life. With the right attitude, you can accomplish anything you put your mind into. Don't settle for mediocrity, you are worth way more.

Are you an enabler?

All of us desire acceptance. Our friends seek us out because they know we make them feel accepted. The dynamics of friendship require that we remain nonjudgmental towards one another.

But what do we do when our friend shares with us that he is doing something ethically questionable? Should we just accept this too and tell ourselves that it’s none of our business? Most of the time, we fear offending our friend. And this becomes the excuse for not doing anything and merely tolerating his actions.

Often, instead of telling our friend that what he is doing may be injurious, we even make him feel that it is okay. We enable his undesirable behavior. But by doing this, we reinforce whatever he is doing. When we condone the harmful or self-destructive actions of other people, we become their enablers.

Sometimes we think that being a friend entails giving blind and unconditional acceptance. But this should not be the case. We cannot be the one to give encouragement to a friend when he engages in dishonesty or becomes mired in vices.  If we truly consider ourselves to be a good friend, then we should not enable the wrongdoings of those close to us. A good friend shows concern and will not simply watch and wait for his friend to slowly destroy his own life.

When we become aware that a friend is doing something wrong, then we must recognize that it is our obligation to point this out. By making a clear and consistent stand on the issue, we can object to our friend’s deleterious behavior in a concerned and respectful way without risking the friendship. When we carry this out, at the very least we will know that we have done all we can do. And by being a positive influence, we can hope to bring about a realization in our friend by allowing him the opportunity to discover what is truly good for him.

Social Skills That Will Help You Become Accepted And Admired

It is everyone's true desire to be accepted and admired. Being accepted and Admired is entirely up to you. All it takes is the ability to pick up a few significant social skills that help build emotional awareness. There are some noteworthy social skills that can be learned quite quickly.

Below is a list of several ways you can become more accepted and admired and become the most likable person in the room.

1. When first meeting someone for the first time you will want to make eye contact. This may sound like a simple thing to do but so many fail miserably at doing it. This remains one of the most impactful mistakes a person can make when conversing with someone. When you are able to look a person in the eyes it shows that you are full of confidence and poised. You will want to implement this skill immediately. Just know that it requires no training or special talent. It just takes the commitment to look a person in the eyes while conversing with them.

2. After looking the person in the eyes you want to give them a firm handshake. You don't want to crush their hand, but you want them to know that you are a person of substance. You don't want to want to wimp out by shaking hands with a limp and feeble handshake. Research shows that people decide whether or not they like you within several seconds of meeting you. A firm handshake contributes largely to that first impression, as does a strong carriage and confident body language.

3. Hey, don't forget to give the other person that bright warm smile along with the first two skills I just covered. It is OK to laugh and tell jokes for the most part. Most people unconsciously mirror the people they are communicating with. If you want to be accepted and admired, try using positive body language. What you put out is usually what you get back in return.

4. Rule of thumb; cut your cell phone off and put it away. There is nothing ruder than a person constantly looking down at their cell phone while you are trying to converse with them. It would be to your best interest to keep your phone put away until after your meeting is over. For those that don't know, that's just plain common courtesy. Once again, this requires no training or special talent to do.

5. If you want to gain positive points with the person that you are conversing with, you will want to call them by name. Everyone wants to go where everyone knows their name. If nothing else, you may want to write this one down and don't forget it. So, the next time when someone uses your name or uses your name during a conversation, think back and remember just how good it felt when they did it. Now, if you have trouble remembering peoples names you might want to use a trick I use when first meeting people. I try to write their name down on something and I try to use their name as many times as I can when I first meet them. This helps me remember their name right away.

6. Finally, you want to actively listen to the person you are conversing with. Simply hearing words doesn't make the grade. People that want to be accepted and admired should learn the forgotten art of listening. Most people are thinking about what they are going to say before the other person has finished speaking. This is why people cut off a person while they are talking. By you doing such a thing shows that you are very disrespectful and unconcerned with what the other person is saying.

Active listening consists of several steps: The first step would be hearing the person you are conversing with. The second step to listening would be to interpret what the other person is saying without interrupting them. The third step would be evaluating what was said by the other person. The last step would be waiting for the right time to respond to what the other person has said.

Now you are armed with the vital information that the pros are armed with. These skills are learnable and coachable. It does not take a brain scientist to follow any of these steps mentioned in this article but the willingness to execute them.
