Who Draws the Line?

The lines we draw in life are really barricades we erect to establish acceptable behavior with the people we interact with. One of the most obvious ways to recognize people whose life is off-balance is to observe where they erect these barriers. Many have none at all. Barriers are like road warning signs to prevent traffic from entering areas that may be dangerous or deadly. The lines we draw in life serve the same purpose. They can be vital to our existence.

The people you surround yourself with, those who are 'in your loop' represent where you drew lines in the past. The story about who you have become is revealed by a close observation of who is in your life today. You surround yourself with people who are what you see yourself as becoming. As the same as the old adage says, 'birds of a feather flock together'; you will be judged by the company you keep. Your comfort zone tells the story about who you are and plan to become.

If you find yourself accepting behavior today that was unacceptable before, your line has been moved by you or through your acceptance of bad behavior. A spouse or partner who has a new bad habit, a child who has become a stranger, a friend who speaks disparagingly about you or your family or the multitude of things that you observe and know were unacceptable before are good examples of how your lines or barriers have been relocated. When you notice these changes in the people around you and realize you are no longer offended or bothered by them it is time to examine what changed, and why.

If the reason is because you have new information or have discovered an underlying cause that is acceptable your barriers were moved to accommodate a cause you believe is in your best interest. It takes a miracle to change the mind of any human, or a crushing blow one believes they cannot change or recover from. If the reasons you identify fall more into the category of a blow to you or your self-worth it is time to drag them back into place, recover your values and polish your self-image mirror. These kinds of things render those warning signs as life-preserving.

It is never OK to accept the unacceptable if you are trading off your own values to allow another person or situation to use you for their private doormat or whipping boy. The company of no other person is worth accepting less than you should demand for yourself. People who genuinely care will never ask this of you. If you become confused about the cause, examine the content of the requests. Would it be embarrassing to share with someone who you have no doubt about cares for you? Is it in your best interest to re-draw the lines? If the answer is no you are better served to cut ties than move lines.

This Is How To Get Unstuck And Make Necessary Changes To Empower Your Life

The Smallest Step Forward

The reason people tend to stay stuck in their circumstances, is because they expect change to come from outside of them, rather than from within.

It is as though they are waiting for permission to move forward when they must first take action themselves.

As the saying goes: Nothing changes, if nothing changes.

While some people have good intentions, their actions don't line up to support them. Granted, they may have goals they're pursuing, yet years later those goals remain in the distance because they didn't act on them.

"Doing nothing while the world around us changes makes us an inevitable victim to outside forces," writes author Scott Sonenshein in Stretch: Unlock the Power of Less -and Achieve More Than You Ever Imagined.

I understand sometimes it's easy to settle for the status quo by way of:

  • Living pay cheque to pay cheque, instead of taking real action towards your goals.
  • Being in a toxic relationship because you don't want to be alone or hurt your partner.
  • Working a job you loathe because looking for another one requires effort and change.
  • The pain associated with negativity is comforting because it validates the misery.

Most people are committed to change, but can't get past the hurdles that inhibit their progress. They may begin with great momentum, though a month later they are back to a familiar routine.
Change must come from within; even the smallest step forward is enough to propel you in the right direction.

This step can create the greatest change in your life, but must be accompanied by well-intentioned objectives.

"When you change your language from balancing to prioritizing, you see your choices more clearly and open the door to changing your destiny," state authors Gary Keller and Jay Papasan in their book The One Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results.

Change Your Thinking

Change requires EFFORT. Stepping out of your comfort zone, digging deep, stirring up passion, and going for it with all you have.

Have you considered why some people are successful and others are not? Successful people work towards their goals and understand that hard work (and wisdom) pays off.

Staying in your comfort zone is not conducive to your long term success. You must venture into uncharted territory if you wish to experience something new.

Inspired action is the result of empowering thoughts. So, to change your circumstances you must change your thinking.

At this point, change is often permanent once the individual has transformed their sabotaging thoughts. This is foreshadowed by a deeper realisation which gives way to real progress.

I am drawn to the passage by author Robert Maurer in his book One Small Step Can Change Your Life: The Kaizen Way: "Radical change is like charging up a steep hill - you may run out of wind before you reach the crest, or the thought of all the work ahead makes you give up no sooner than you've begun."

Change requires courage and faith, yet has a ripple effect in our lives.

It can include a change in living conditions without having to move places. Sometimes, something as simple as rearranging your living conditions leads to a change in thought patterns due to the metaphysical relationship.

Similarly, a change in direction can trigger a shift in your career and is likely to reap benefits down the line.

Create Clear Goals

The change cycle reveals the six stages of change. Beginning with Loss, which is characterised by feelings of fear and being paralysed. It concludes with Integration, highlighting the satisfaction one experiences when settled into a new environment.

A new life is possible when you take consistent action, in spite of your fears and doubts. In this way, you make incremental changes without speeding up towards your future in haste.

Authors Gary Keller and Jay Papasan remind us once more that "Getting extraordinary results is all about creating a domino effect in your life."

It is important to embrace transformation because the knowledge gained is vital to your new way of life.

Without stating the obvious, life isn't about 'success' alone. However, most people want to be successful without devoting themselves to the hard work to get there. If we're not experiencing success (or accomplishing our goals and desires), something has to change.

Working with a leadership coach will help you get past the hurdles to create clear goals. An action plan to achieve them, and accountability are the keys to making progress.

Accountability is a motivating factor for those who seek change but don't know how to go about it. You are inspired to work towards definable goals since you have someone to guide and motivate you.

"If you ever feel yourself dreading the activity or making excuses for not performing it, it's time to cut back on the size of the step," affirms author Robert Maurer.

What about you? Where do you stand in relation to your goals for the year?

Are you on target to reach them?

Are you moving forward towards them consistently?

Are you happy with your progress?

What would you like to be different?

What does your optimal life look like?

So many questions to consider. Yet, if you don't examine them, you are likely to be drawn off-course by distractions and find yourself in a place not of your choosing, doing meaningless tasks.

I wish to leave you with a delightful passage from motivational author Brendon Burchard in his book The Motivation Manifesto: "We have forgotten that courage is a choice, and that permission to move forward with boldness is never given by the fearful masses. Most have forgotten that seeking change always requires a touch of insanity. If taking action before the perfect conditions arise, or before we receive permission, is unreasonable or reckless, then we must be unreasonable and reckless."

It is the sense of reckless adventure we must embark upon to bring fulfillment, passion and joy to our lives. Regret and resentment cannot dwell in the heart and mind of a person committed to their work.

Abandon your pain and disillusionment and reach beyond the comforts of your armchair to seek a life of wonder where dreams come true.

Dare to be exceptional. Dare to be bold. Awaken your inner spirit and alight the radiance of your highest self that summons you to create a life of passion.

Get Up And Do Something

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time to come in our lives. Whether we like it or not, we, ourselves, are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. Change starts within us right now, right at this very moment.

Change will happen when we do something different, a different outcome. Do something different from what you've already been doing. I know this is quite challenging because it's a matter of getting out of your comfort zone.

Well, do something different! Stop complaining and blaming others for what you've become today. Never blame your past, your parents, your boss or your partner. because you did not learn from your past circumstance. Stop blaming all together. You are responsible for your emotions and your life. Take control of your fate once and for all.

Are you ready for change? I've learned the past few years to actually get something out of life, whether it's in a career, relationship, or in any area. Work equals change and success. But you need to do something to make it happen.

If you want change, do something different. Don't just sit there and wait for a miracle to happen. Nothing of great value comes without great effort. Don't expect to get to the next level of your career without doing something productive. Show a great deal of commitment and dedication to your work. By doing so, you are able to feel a sense of achievement and a sense of fulfillment because you are able to do something worth doing well not only to yourself but to everyone concerned.

Life is not always easy. Work hard and persevere and you will realize that you are able to make a difference in your life. For example, if you find it difficult to survive your situation today, pray to God that He will you and do what you want to achieve in life. Your faith and action will help you realize your dream.

Our situations will not remain exactly the same throughout or lives. Sometimes situations are in our favor but other times it becomes really hard and seems to be endless. However, to ensure success in life, you need to turn difficult situations into a better one.

Difficult situations come into our lives sooner or later. You cannot find a successful person who can claim of not going through a difficult circumstances in their entire lives. The only difference is how they handle their dire situations to their own advantage.

In the face of rough situations, take it as a challenge and turn it into a better one and move closer to your desired goal. If you want to make your life successful, get up and do something.

We can transform our life and transform others as a result.

Begin today.

If we want to have a change in our lifestyle, we need to get up and do something.

Are You Willing to Do What It Takes? (By Chris Atley)

What a beautiful week! I had the privilege of taking my sacred circle members to do aerial yoga for our quarterly off-site event! It was such a meaningful experience and I still can't believe all of the parallels with being a business owner! Like letting go and taking one step at a time, that you can put your hands down and touch the ground at any time and be grounded again, the courage in community - where you can look over and see someone else doing it and gain the courage you need yourself to do the same, and the BIG one - that you're safe when you let go AND can even enjoy it! Here is a picture of us doing chandelier pose, which is a lot like dancer in yoga except upside down. How cool right?! I also discovered doing something that physically gets you out of your comfort zone is huge for doing the same in business.

Yesterday I enjoyed at day at the spa with girlfriends at La Costa here in San Diego. Most of you will know it as Deepak Chopra's center. His center is there along with a fabulous hotel and spa. This is one of my favourite spots to rejuvenate, as you can use the entire spa facility for the day after your treatment. It has a beautiful pool, waterfall shower, steam, sauna and hot tub. It's a little piece of heaven and I highly suggest you treat yourself to something similar soon! Treating yourself helps to raise your vibration. You are deserving of goodness! In the evening I attended a profound movie screening in Hollywood with another dear friend - I love that my first screening is for a documentary. An impactful look into the alarming statistic of how many homeless kids there are in LA and what we can do about it. More to come on this later.

Today I want to ask you a tough question - are you willing to do what it takes to have the success you're wanting in your business? AND what the heck does that even mean anyway? Read on for more on this and how to align yourself with what you're really wanting.

So... are you willing to do what it takes to grow your business to the level you're wanting?

I remember a past mentor asking me this over and over again. That voice is still engrained in my head. Are you willing to do what it takes? This was a great question because it made me stop and think. Well, who are we kidding, I didn't need to stop and think about this... I was a wholehearted yes right away!! It did help me define what this meant though.

The thing is, what this meant to me at that time and what it means to me now have changed significantly. At first it meant hustle and only hustle. Do whatever it takes to make things work. Put in a ton of time and make the business the priority always. Never stop. It didn't matter if I was tired, burned out, and if relationships were unraveling around me, the focus must me the business. AND for goodness sake, do not EVER and I repeat EVER use your kids as an excuse for stopping.

Noted, and executed.

Well, what kind of existence is that? It sounds exhausting right? Well it was. I realized a couple of years ago, that all I was doing was eating, breathing and sleeping my business. I took the question to heart, as I can be pretty black and white sometimes.

It dawned on me that I didn't really have my priorities straight. I did get married and have kids for a reason, right?! I was so focused on being of service in my business, that I missed it at home. This led to a complete reassessment, some rebellious behaviour In terms of the coaching industry and a BREAK from it all. I continued to work with the clients I had and kept it low key from there. I focused on giving and receiving love at home and all around me. It was heavenly.

I studied the course in miracles intently and had some massive shifts around the ego and our true selves. I discovered what true inner peace is.

SO... that's all great, but how does this look in business today?

Well, whenever I get in this "do what it takes" mode I can see it's coming from fear and ego. When I approach my clients from this place it doesn't work. It's too harsh.

What does work is this:

*aligning myself with the best version of me and making decisions from this place (this is where self-care comes in)

*exercising a strong faith muscle where I believe and know FULLY that the universe (for me it's God, the holy spirit and some pretty rad arc angels) is always showing me more and more people to help and how to be of service AND that I'm never, ever alone

*financial goals are secondary to being of service

*creating a life I love with the people I love, in a way that works for me

*having the support in place in both my business and personal life so that I can be the person I need to be

*persevering and not taking no (in terms of my vision) for an answer and knowing without a doubt there is ALWAYS a way to make things happen

*AND last but not least, HUSTLE! This is where the "willingness to do what it takes" comes into effect in an empowered way! We must be willing to do what we need to do in order to bring all of the wonderful opportunities we are creating into the physical form (to fruition). It will not happen without inspired action. The shift in perspective I've had around this though is just this. It is inspired action. It doesn't feel like work because I'm coming from a place of trust and love first, and not fear. It's exciting to bring opportunities to fruition and see them though. It involves "hustle" as I call it, as you have to keep taking action until it's complete. You have to pick up the phone repeatedly, meet with people, etc. and do whatever else is required. You essentially need to BE who you need to be in order to bring the opportunities to fruition. That means stepping out of your comfort zone, and doing things differently and being WILLING to do this. The willingness really means being willing to move through uncomfortable feelings so that you can be in alignment with what you're really wanting.

The biggest difference is that when you're in the place I outlined above, you are not coming from fear. It's not a struggle. The way I approached this before was coming from fear. Afraid I wasn't spending enough time and really deep down if I'm being honest, that it wasn't going to actually happen. The irony though is that even though I was putting so much into it before and "willing' to do whatever it took, it started happening on a much deeper level once I shifted to this new perspective. Where opportunities to serve manifest without struggle, and hustle serves an inspired purpose of bringing them to fruition.

This is where the magic happens xo

Message From the Universe: Never Giving Up on Your Dreams!

One of the most comforting thoughts of all is knowing that all roads lead "home.

Even more comforting is understanding that you never left.

From all of us "back" home,
The Universe

Why leave a place where you can explore your full potential and reach your ultimate happiness? All of what you do today will be a reflection of what will happen in the future. You need to work your butt off day in and day out to get what you want out of life. You can't allow negativity to sink into your mind and pollute your thoughts. It is difficult to think outside the box as it can be scary to leave your comfort zone. This is where most people struggle. It is hard to deny the challenges we will face when starting something new. We want to stay in a cozy area where we know and feel comfortable with our surroundings. However, if you start looking at everything in your life this way, you won't be able to do much about your life. Fear will consume your full potential, it will create more uncertainties as you try to ignore it, and it will probably make you feel incompetent through the process. Many will try to stop you from excelling in what you do because they are also afraid of your success. They see how determined you are but will do everything they can to bring you down to their level.

Sticking to being comfortable will just allow you to live a life, but getting out of your shell and risking it will allow you to live the time of your life. The worst that can happen is failure, a bit of disappointment but enough energy to bring you back up and move forward, no matter what. I understand that it can be tough to move through hurdles where you have put in so much work and effort and nothing panned out. You have to be inhuman to not feel anything when dealing with these kind of challenges. So the only thing you can do is get up on your feet, look at where you made mistakes, and learn from your lessons to do things better next time around. Anything that represents too much comfort doesn't necessarily means it's good for you. The greatest success happened during difficult times, where the person had everything to lose but still moved forward and accepted whatever outcome. Walk with your head held high and know that you will prevail and will succeed far beyond your imagination. Just DO NOT GIVE UP

Message From the Universe: Stopping FEAR in Its Track!

"Fear always goes away once two things are realized: First, you're a spiritual being. Second, nothing can ever be lost or taken from a spiritual being that cannot be recreated; not pride, nor money, nor love.

Phew!
The Universe"

Come to think of it, fear should keep you on your toes and allow you to seek better and more effective way to reach your goals. Even though FEAR could just be an illusion, created by a fragment of your imagination, the fact that it feels so real and palpable at times puts us in a position where we can really ignore it, and sometime allow fear to take over and stops us from seeking new opportunities and reaching new heights. It is not uncommon to fear uncertainties because of a lack of control of events and circumstances that can possibly create moments of stress and anxiety in our mind. Crossing a path to the unknown can be mentally demanding and not many can successfully reach the other side without turning around and going back to a place they feel more comfortable in venturing. By thinking outside the box, out of your comfort zone will allow you to find new opportunities that wouldn't ever be present if you would have stayed in your little cocoon. Just like the acronym, FEAR is just a false expectation appearing real, which create a moment of stress that isn't necessary. By confronting your fears, you break down the walls that were built by yourself, and realize that there was nothing for you to worry about. As life is a journey for everyone on earth, it is important that you focus more on your spiritual self, that you create your own world from within and make sure that you do not allow any negativity coming in your world.

Just imagine this. If you had the power to built a new planet from scratch, with all the basic things you see, such as air, water, weather and all that great stuff. You then add people into this new planet, yes, humans. However, instead of allowing hatred and war, and crime and terrorism, you eliminate any possibilities of these scenarios entering your world to create a world of peace and serenity. All of what you see today, including crime and violence, terrorism and greed, was created by just a few people who wanted to bring chaos in this planet so no one really focuses on what is really going on. By doing this, it allows them to do whatever they please, extort as much money and resources as they possibly can because they know that eventually, some day in the near future, people will eventually wake up and realize the truth behind our imminent reality. All of what is going on today is a cover up for something much bigger than what you can imagine. Whatever you do from this point forward, focus on yourself primarily and become a better person for your own future. Do not spend time wondering what others are doing or how this person is making so much money and you aren't. Continue walking on your own path as NO one will be walking by your side. Look straight ahead and focus on the horizon. If you don't see it clearly, you just need to walk further until it appears. It all depends on you and how far are you willing to walk on that path. Always remember that your journey of a thousand miles always starts with the first step. So go ahead, take that step!

Message From the Universe: It Is Time to Change, For the Better!

"The great thing about change is that it absolutely, positively, always means that things are going to get better.

Even when you don't know how.

You rock,
The Universe"

If you want to live a good life, do not stagnate. You want to be able to experience new things, explore new worlds and destinations, see what suits you best. Fear of change is what a lot of people face on a daily basis. Because change means taking yourself outside your comfort zone, which in return, can be scary because you can't anticipate the outcome. Knowing what will come your way, ALL OF THE TIME, can get boring. Keep some surprise in the mix and always be open minded when it comes to dealing with uncertainties. No one can read or see into the future, so don't try to do that either. Just take or accept life as it comes to you. You can control some outcome, of course, but for other things, it will happen no matter what. You can be exercising every single day, eat well, not smoke or drink, and do whatever you can to stay healthy, but still can be struck with massive coronary attack because of genetics or hereditary issues in the family.

No matter what you do, no matter how much you do of it, nothing really matters. The only thing you can do is work hard, do good around you, help others, better yourself as a person, evolve all throughout your journey in life but most importantly, be thankful and appreciate everything you already have. Never compare your weaknesses to someone else strengths. It will be a losing battle which will leave you more harmed, sad and depressed. You need to built yourself from the ground up and say that you are worth it, that you deserve the best that life can give but always go for it and believe in yourself. Never feel that you are not worth this or that, and all the wealth, fortune and glory is left to only a few people. Abundance is everywhere, as many stars we have in the Universe. It is out there for you to grab and take your share. So what are you waiting for? Don't forget to pass by the Ferrari dealership, a nice yellow or red one is waiting for you to add to your 8 cars garage.

Spring Cleaning After Divorce

It's that time of year when we open the windows and enjoy the fresh air! It always made me feel better hearing the birds chirp, smelling the fresh air and cleaning as if it were a new beginning. Well, on a positive note, divorce is a new beginning! Put aside all the emotional feelings like sadness, anxiety and doubt about what you are supposed to do next, and consider some of the following tips for your financial spring cleaning!

1. Get your financial house in order. Update your will. Check that you have the proper beneficiaries listed on your life insurance policies. Review your retirement plans and get rid of non-performing investments (contact your CDFA or financial advisor if you need help). Get a file box or use a file drawer and label your files. Doing this will make it easy to find any important financial papers.

2. If you aren't doing what you love or loving what you do, then prepare to make a change! Update or write your resume. Take some courses and explore new opportunities in your area or an area that you would like to be in. Expect more from yourself. I'm sure you will be amazed what you're capable of achieving.

3. Review your credit report!! Not only is identity theft a concern today, but so is human error. I recently found that there was a major mistake on my credit report and it took me a lot of time to have it corrected. It is also a good place to see if you or your spouse have any accounts that you were unaware of. If you haven't already, make sure to establish credit in your name. Open a credit card, or the next time you purchase a car, register it in your name only.

4. This is also a great time to review your benefits at work. If you aren't involved in a retirement plan, and one is offered, enroll!! If you are already active in a plan, review it!! It may seem overwhelming and out of your comfort zone so consult a financial advisor. Most advisors are happy to review your statements and offer you some advice.

5. I am sure that you just got your taxes done and you are saying, "Next year I will be more organized!" That's what I said! So go buy a file for tax receipts only! Ask your accountant if s/he can provide you with some areas that may save you money on next year's tax return.

6. Divorce is a big change and a new beginning. You will want to update your wardrobe, and feel pretty!! I am a big supporter of dressing the way you want to feel!! This can be costly, so make a plan. First, clean out your current wardrobe. There are consignment shops, example: Plato's Closet, where you can sell your clothes and use that money to purchase new clothes for yourself. If you already have a budget, donate your clothes to women's shelters. You will feel great about helping other women and they will greatly appreciate it!! It's a win-win!!

7. Divorce is draining, I know. Emotionally and financially, you feel exhausted. You will need time to rebuild yourself and your finances; start by setting long- and short-term goals (write them on paper). Prepare your new budget and then meet with a financial advisor. You work hard for your money and your advisor can help ensure that your money is working hard for you.

Accept what your financial situation is now, make the changes that you can, and live accordingly. Focus on implementing the above suggestions and you will be able to move forward confidently rather than living in the past.

Congruence: An Alignment Between Words and Actions

Live freely beyond any identity the world or yourself have given you.

Most of us when we talk with each other, feel that the person we have been talking to, express himself/herself through "second thoughts", through filters in a suspicious way making it difficult to build trust. In the book "The Six Pillars Of Self-Esteem" Congruence is analyzed. Congruence is an alignment of words and actions.

For instance, congruence means that you:

Keep the promises you make.
Express yourself freely, regardless of your environment.
Admit when you flirt with someone and don't conceal your true intention about him/her.
The average human being has a pull towards creating his personal identity, which includes negative as well as positive attributes of his character. Unfortunately most of the time his "identity" doesn't exist to serve him but to restrict him. Observe a friend or maybe yourself when you try to get out of your comfort zone. Something deep within you pulls you back, keeps resistance. The exact same thing might happen to your friend as well, seeing them make statements like "that's not what I am like". But what you will later understand is that your close friend, in reality is full of excuses.

Most of the time our image and the information written on our identities are imaginary. The main reason that happens is because we haven't made them ourselves, they are constructed by our friends, relatives and generally our social circle, which is reasonable for someone who doesn't invest in themselves. The desire to be free mentally and physically resonates with our nature. To get closer to your goal I challenge you, day by day to leave a part of your identity and generally the image you have in your mind behind. Embrace freedom, live without an identity that drags you backwards!

On the other hand, everything is easier said than done. Action forms our character and particularly how congruent we are. Processes having to do with the psyche require time, no alteration in nature hasn't happened in a second. Every human being has the ability to test his congruence, day by day followed by small steps, discovering themselves.

A foundational step is the awareness of situations when we aren't congruent. Leave a comment below, answering the two following questions.

When do you believe you are not congruent, in which situations do you lose the ability to show your congruence?
What can you do about it?

Surefire Secrets To Abundant Wealth

The Power of Perseverance and Persistence:

Everyone knows the power of persistence, but few people fully put this into practice. The difference in someone who succeeds and who doesn't is simply persistence. When you see obstacles, be encouraged because that means you are outside your comfort zone!

Consider how long you are prepared to try before you give up or get results. Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb, or did he just find 10,000 ways how NOT to make a light bulb?

The Power of Regulating Expenses:

Debt is a habit. If you are in the habit of spending more than you make now, chances are you would continue this habit even if you make 1 million dollars a year. Learn to work on a budget and live within your means.

The Power of Integrity and Honesty:

Some people think the wealthy are corrupt. This is as wrong as saying that all poor people are honest. When pursuing this power ask yourself these questions:

Is it legal?

Is it morally correct?

Will pursuing this make me feel proud?

Will I respect myself after I do this?

If your answer is "yes" to each of these questions, then move forward.

The Power of Faith:

This is not necessarily about religion. Faith is the ability to see the invisible, believe the incredible and that will allow you to have what the masses call impossible. How is your self talk? Sometimes we wouldn't speak to our worst enemy the way we talk to ourselves.

Believe in yourself as you are responsible for your life and every result you get.

The Power of Charity:

Giving is contagious. If you are thinking about what you are going to get in return, you are trading, not giving. When you freely give, it develops your feeling of worth and abundance. That is a vibration. You will then attract more of that into your life. Wealth is like fertilizer. If you spread it, it will bring forth riches. If you leave it alone, it will become stagnant.

And now the free tool I told you about. Are you familiar with the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill? I was first introduced to this book many years ago when I started in network marketing. Just reading the title fills your mind with possibilities doesn't it? With a quick online search you can download this book for free. I challenge you to read in this book every day for 30 days. It will transform your business and your life.

12 Simple Ways To Connect With Your True Purpose Today

A few years ago, I walked away from a 12-year career teaching black literature in the Ivy Leagues in order to follow my calling as an intuitive consultant and transformational teacher.
It’s been freeing and empowering to embody the truth of who I am and live my life authentically. Yet, my passions and purpose continue to change over time. Our purpose is an ongoing adventure — a journey, not a destination. It’s fluid, not fixed. We are like flowers sprouting new petals when we least expect it.
We have the capacity to create our own lives, yet this must happen in tandem with our inner intelligence. An inner compass forever points us toward the True North of who we are. Our job is to follow that unwavering needle rather than succumb to the social conditioning that prompts us to make choices that seem sensible, practical, and safe.
Here, I offer 12 steps you can take toward your most extraordinary and purpose-filled life. My heartfelt wish is that they will serve you on your path.
The grass actually is greener outside your comfort zone.

1. Do what you love and love what you do.

Pursue those endeavors that fuel your soul and make your spirit rise. Bring the energy of love (the most powerful force in the universe) into your activities, and see what miracles happen. Fifteen years ago, I was teaching at Harvard and raising a 2-year-old daughter on my own. What began as a research project on metaphysical matters quickly became a zealous interest in tarot cards, and soon enough I was honing my skills as an intuitive.
The sheer love of the metaphysical drove me to pursue it, though all the while a stern voice in my head said I “should” be reading literary criticism, not tarot cards. Had I heeded that voice and overrode the deep longings of my heart, my life would have unfolded very differently. Don't let anyone (not even yourself) tell you that it's impossible to structure your routine in such a way that you have time to engage in the activities you're passionate about. Life's too short not to do so.

2. Love yourself.

Love yourself enough to discover what you love, honor what you love, and commit to the specific pursuits that you love. Offer yourself a true quality of life, whatever that might be for you. Climb a mountain. Hike a trail. Play a musical instrument. Write a story. Offering yourself true quality of life is an oft-overlooked part of general self-care. We must identify what our souls need in order to thrive, and then offer that to ourselves.

3. Be authentic.

Your power lies in your authenticity, so remain true to who you are. Check in with yourself on levels of mind, body, heart, and soul. Be honest with yourself about how you’re feeling and about what’s going on in your inner landscape.

4. Be your best self.

Commit to being your best and acknowledge your truest truth and your greatest greatness. Know that, as wonderful as you already are, you are even more powerful, even more magnificent, even stronger, and even more capable than you realize.

5. Immerse yourself in your heart and soul.

Get out of your own head and live your life in service to the deeper wisdom that lies in your heart and soul. Never force your heart and soul to obey the narrow prescriptions concocted by your mind, for that creates oppression, limitation, stress, and strife.
We place more obstacles in our own path than life ever could.

6. Listen to your inner guidance.

Heed your inner guidance, and tune out the unhelpful opinions of others. Any time you are met by a naysayer — someone who attempts to dissuade you from what you were intending to do — reconnect with what’s in your heart and carry out your original plans instead of succumbing to self-doubt. Place greater importance on your own inner knowing than on any external feedback you might receive.

7. Meditate

There is no better way to tap into your clarity, creativity, courage, confidence, and vision.

8. Cultivate an intimate relationship with yourself.

Get to know who you are and what you stand for. Be your own best friend. Discover what your most passionate interests, longings, and desires look like, and chase after them. If you’re not sure where to begin, simply start taking stock of your impulses as they come. We all have inner whispers suggesting,I’d like to do this, I’d enjoy trying that, I’d get a kick out of experiencing this other thing… We tend to ignore these communications that come from within, but they hold the capacity to enhance our lives so very much.

9. Put the past in the past.

Forgive yourself and others — let it all go. Heal your wounds by dumping out that reservoir of pain you've accumulated within.

10. Remove obstacles.

We place more obstacles in our own path than life ever could. We can get out of our own way by upgrading how we show up for life and relate to others. Turn to harmony instead of drama and understanding instead of judgment.

11. Connect to your creativity.

Creativity is powerful and life-affirming. We are all born with it, in some unique way. We are born to create, not to react, so take a stand for something and invent a new paradigm.

12. Have courage.

The grass actually is greener outside your comfort zone. Risk is mandatory — if nothing is ventured, nothing is gained. Life always presents a combination of both success and failure, so honor the intrinsic value of experience and measure your progress by how much you’ve learned, grown, and served others.

5 Reasons Why You Must Be a Constant Learner

How many times you had the feeling that you are lost with a new subject at work? If you are like most people, probably many times… But don’t worry! It’s super common in this day and age because we live in a very dynamic environment, with a lot of new information to handle every day and staying up to date is a real challenge.
The hard truth is that if you want to grow as person in your society and in your job, you have to constantly keep learning new things.
But, why exactly?
1. To perform, perform and perform.
You can only succeed at what you are doing if you have the right knowledge to do so. Today’s society is so well educated that you really need to be a “Superman” or “Superwoman” if you want to succeed. If you are not a top performer there will be someone in the next corner really well prepared to do your job, and willing to do it. Then, simply learn how to be the best.
2. To get out of your comfort zone.
Experience shows that the most successful people are those who constantly go out of their comfort zone. These people welcome new challenges, new risks, and constantly discover new subjects, becoming this a daily practice in their lives. In other words, people succeed when they put themselves beyond their current limits. But the only way to get out of the comfort zone is by knowing what is beyond. You will be so scared to put a foot out if you don’t know what you are going to find there. First of all learn what is out there and then go for it!
3. To have a longer and healthier life.
Believe it or not, but different demography studies performed all around the world show that keeping an active mental activity is one of the key factors to have a longer and better live. It is proven that diseases like Alzheimer, Parkinson or memory loss tend to appear less in people who stay mentally active. Be aware that staying active does not mean simply doing word searches (which are fun!). It means taking real mental challenges. A great example might be to learn a new language.
4. To improve your personal relationships.
This point is really simple to explain. When you have broader knowledge about more subjects, you can really connect with different people concerned by those subjects. This, automatically, will enrich your relationships. Imagine for a moment that you take a course on personal motivation which puts you in plenty of real situations applicable to your friends and family. Can you imagine how your relationships will improve as soon as you start giving them good tips that help them to be more motivated?
5. To feel good.
There is no better feeling than knowing interesting things. Imagine yourself travelling to a place where you acknowledge what is around: you know the history of the place, the important people who lived there, the meaning of a monument,… surely this will make you and the people with you feel great.

It is now really evident that you have to learn new things to be happy and to feel complete as a person. So, just go for it! There are plenty of opportunities out there.
But bear in mind something: once you start doing this, you will become an addict to it!
