How To Become A Man of Value

A man of value is someone who knows how to support those around them; someone who is trustworthy, reliable and reputable. A successful person on the other hand is someone who have achieved much in life; reputable too but we do not know what's within.

Being successful isn't always the most difficult position to achieve in the world. It can be equated to partly luck but most of all hard work. Once you strive hard to attain your goal, everything is possible. I don't necessarily believe in luck, I believe more on patience, determination and hard work.

However, being fearless does not mean being without fear. When we admit our fears and go beyond them, we have the courage to do things that frighten us when the situation calls for it.

We need to be flexible and reliable at the same time. If necessary we can start all over again at any given moment since a real man accepts his consequence but never becomes a victim of it. Yet, when a man is a slave of his anger for failure to accept his circumstance, that's the anger of the coward trying to overcompensate his feelings of inferiority. Sad but true. A man completely disconnected from his anger becomes vitiated and powerless.

A real man of value has the drive to get outside his comfort zone to make a sincere attempt to succeed in life instead of for the sake of protection of his ego and clinging to the illusion of safety. I pity this type of man because life is a journey and we all are somewhere on our path. A real man doesn't pretend to be wiser just to make others feel insecure around him. He knows his strengths and his weaknesses and not ashamed of either. But a coward man is always trying to hide his weak spots by being superior to others without realizing that being authoritative is just the same with having an inferiority complex; the only difference is in the complex itself.

A real man of value does not hold back. He can see his own failures and flaws and can laugh about them because he knows himself. He can uplift a tense situation with a joke but he isn't the immature joker that abuses humor as a tool for escaping his own shortcomings.

In the end a real man of value knows the value of integrity, the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. This value is coupled with keeping your word. If you say that you will do something or be somewhere then do it and be there, even if it is uncomfortable or inconvenient. That's reliability. If you're going to do something do it with a spirit of excellence attached, go beyond the call of duty. This is an investment of love, knowledge, motivation,support, and wisdom for those who are part of your life; like your immediate family, your circle of friends and your associates.

Thus, the added value that arises in your own life is the direct result of being a man of value.
