Your Footprint in the Sands of Time

Does anyone's life really matter? If you didn't do anything that was recognized, world-changing or life altering, will the world ever know that you existed? There is a process in the life cycle on Earth that is true for every living form from the minutest to the most sophisticated, the human. Everything that lives leaves a significant footprint behind. Even the plants and trees live providing oxygen and a host of other services to the air, insects and animals; after they die the soil is forever altered by the composition of what it has absorbed, affecting the next thing that is planted. All of these things are true and amplified in human life and how it was lived, affecting all the things touched during life.

Why is this true? Humans have the strongest energy of any life form. A life that is lived lovingly, providing encouragement and hope to those who surround you increases the positive energy field that surrounds you and everyone you come into contact with. While it seems invisible, it penetrates everything you touch changing the energy around people, animals, plants and all living forms. It is almost impossible to know who and what your life has or will change in a positive way. Even though your life cycle comes to an end those positive contacts and touches continue on. Like the soil that is forever altered by the decomposition of the tree, everything you touched was transformed in some way. A light filled energy surrounds you and remains even after your death.

A life that is wasted through anger, fear, violence and hateful attributes creates an equally strong energy field that causes chaos and injures everything it touches. For many the damage may last a lifetime, witnessed by the scars left through child abuse and domestic violence. These patterns are frequently carried into several generations. A parents alcoholism can create a generational tendency that is not interrupted until the pattern is broken, the unborn child finally freed through a parent that fought the tendency and remained sober and alcohol free. Other behavior patterns including drug abuse, OCD and so many others affect everyone who comes into contact with it through learned behavior. The death of a person who has lived their live instilling pain and fear leaves a heavy footprint that takes much longer to dissolve and heal. There is great damage in the wake behind them. The energy field around these people is much like a destructive storm. The people whose lives you touched will always be picking up the pieces and hoping to mend. Many never will.

How you choose to live matters far more than you may imagine. You can love and be loved, inspire and be inspired, trust and instill faith, heal and be healed leaving a lasting and loving legacy. You can be hate filled, angry and violent and live a life of misery that destroys others far into the future. Whatever the energy you create will be picked up on the path of a sunbeam and transferred to everything around you continuing long after you depart. It's your life, your story, your legacy; it will be defined by how you lived it.
