Life is unfair at times but that's a given. We all struggle in life whether it's finances, personal tragedy and loss, in our careers or simply mental or physical struggles which can be even tougher but the one given is you have the choice on how you respond.
Whoever said, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know which one you get" is full of crap. Sayings like that and I've been dealt a bad hand or I have bad luck are what's called mind deceivers. They are conjured up in your mind, meant to console you when you're going through the struggles in life. That is when you start believing your own lie and soon you own it. Once you own it, it becomes a part of your very fiber.
You see, we all have stories, all different, some seem worse than others but in the end... they are all stories and each story is told by an author. You are the author of your own life. No one but you can write your story or change your story.
Putting down pen to paper... you have control of how your story ends. Whether you want to write it or not, your story already started-our life are the chapters in between the hard-bound covers. But the question you need to ask yourself is how will you write your story?
You are the one who breathes air from every thought, into every letter, word and sentence. You write the plot, set the tone and the mood. If something feels out of place or doesn't align with the illustration, then you and only you need to change the script. You decide who and what will fill each page in your life's chapters. You surround your life with characters that will inspire, motivate and spur you to do great and unimaginable things.
If you're suffering with letting go of the past, just know that your past is a part of who you are. It molds you and inspires you to change the direction of where your life will end.
No one knows the outcome, not even you but how you write out the next few pages will determine the direction and climax your life will take. So, the next time you are sitting there wondering why your life is the way it is, just remember all you have to do is keep on writing and decide how you want your story to end.
Thank you and continue to be the "Author of Your Life!"
