Your Life Story Matters

We all have a story and you can use your story to help transform the lives of others, yes, your story matters. You should not keep your story bottled up inside. Your struggles, your pain, and your achievements can all be instrumental in the lives of others. What good is having a story if you never share it? God has blessed you tremendously, and He has given you something powerful that can be a blessing to others.

You may be surprised to know that your story can be converted to life coaching programs, life coaching seminars and workshops, and even coaching classes. You can create programs and services based on your life story that can inspire others forward. Is it easy? No. But is it worth it? Yes. I am a witness to that.

For example, I never imagined when I lost my corporate nursing job in 2009, due to corporate downsizing, that my life story would be used to help others become life coaches and launch a coaching business. But God never allows us to go through anything without it becoming a powerful testimony.

I believe that one of the worst things we can do is keep our mouth closed. My late mother used to say "a closed mouth doesn't help anyone." And that is so true. If we don't share our story how can we use it to empower, encourage, inspire, and motivate others? And even if you think your story can't make a difference, I am here to tell you that it can. But you will never know if you don't take a leap of faith.

Just think of an obstacle you have faced and conquered. Think about how you have gone from pain to power. Think about an achievement you have made, or a goal you have accomplished. Now imagine how amazing it would be for you to build solution-driven programs and services for others, based on your life story. And don't let fear stop you. Even if you feel some fear about getting in front of others in a big way, let your faith rise and inspire you into a more purposeful and meaningful life.

One of the things that makes me feel so wonderful is helping others. It's a gift that "keeps on giving." As a nurse I have always had a heart to serve, but God knew there was more for me, and that I had more work to do. I never lost my passion to make a difference in the lives of others, but my life story has given me an opportunity to serve in a way that is bigger than I could have ever imagined. And the same thing God did for me, He can do for you too. It is possible!
