A friend of mine will always say, "it is better to be safe than sorry", and so true she is safe but not making progress, I am sorry to say. With her life and many others like her, who like to be safe, who don't want to make mistakes, I have come to understand that without mistakes there can't be progress. When our fear for mistakes keeps us from trying new ideas, we will remain at the same spot for a long time.

Someone said, "My mistakes are no failures, just lessons on how not to do things and they have made me better". Are you scared of making mistakes or you have made and now you are finding it difficult to move on? Let me tell you this, "Mistakes make you better". Check the life of people who have claimed not to have made mistakes before, you would see they just circle round same spot, not necessarily poor but surely without ground breaking achievements.

Mistakes are not as bad as people would want to paint them for you. Do you know that without mistakes there won't be inventions? If we were born selfless and centered, strong and virtuous character would be perfectly natural for us. We wouldn't have to think about it at all. But we were born just the opposite - selfish and self-centered. Strength and virtue will have to be acquired and developed over time and tribulation. The more stubborn and lazy we are the longer it takes, and the more we suffer guilt, regret and injured or failed relationships. The laziness refers to an aspect of human nature that's loathe to do the maintenance part of the work. Everyone "wants" to build character and integrity but few want to do the required maintenance.

Doing something that's against your ego or self-centered nature requires diligent attention. You can't just do it once and forget it. That's because your self-centeredness is still operating. And until that's overcome, you have to remain in maintenance mode indefinitely. It's like an alcoholic who can't heal his disease or change his genetic makeup - but he can stop drinking!

How frequently must this "renewal maintenance" be practiced? Every New Year? We all know that doesn't work. How about every new month - perhaps to coincide with the full moon? No. The full moon has too mystical a connotation. You may be a little eccentric but you're not loony! How about at the beginning of every new week? No. That's too infrequent to work. But at least we have the new part right.

How about starting your life anew every new day? Now thats doable - and most effective. A new day is always so full of promise and anticipation. Wipe the slate clean daily. Start fresh with the rising of each new sun. Yesterday is in the history books. Recreate or reinvent yourself every day in the image of your ideal.

Made a mistake? Said or did the wrong thing or in the wrong way or at the wrong time? No problem. Think nothing of it. Tomorrow you can correct it and it's like it never happened. That's the magic of living one day at a time. If the person you offended continues judgment against you beyond the day, that's his or her failing. Not yours. You move on to do the next right thing in the next present moment, while the "offended" person remains indefinitely stuck in his misery.

All you have to do is be aware of the error in the present moment. Once you clearly recognize the flaw or shortcoming in what you think, say or do, it's much easier to not do it again. Mistakes are not the problem, but repeating them due to lack of detached awareness is the problem, is the sin. Simply notice your denial when you're in denial. Notice your procrastination while procrastinating, your complacency, your fear, insecurity, resentment, anger, impatience, and so on - while you're in that mode.

Asking is key to getting. The first thing you do each morning is get on your knees - literally or figuratively, and ask your higher self or higher power - which is located in the subconscious part of your mind, to remove that particular defect of character by name. And depending on your degree of sincerity, humility and gratitude - it will and must do so. It's amazing! Remember that a person of character and integrity doesn't do what he wants to do; he does what he has to do. And daily renewal is what you have to do!

Let's start with what greed is not. Greed is not the admirable desire to have things better tomorrow than you do today. If you want a better education, a better job, greater wealth, or a nicer home and you are willing to earn them with integrity and self-discipline then it's not greed, it is personal growth. That kind of individual or family development is commended in every society.

Greed, on the other hand, is the selfish desire to acquire wealth, possession, or authority at the expense of someone else. For instance, a man who buys a new set of golf clubs when his children need shoes is greedy. Someone who lies about a fellow-worker to get a promotion is greedy. A corporation that puts profits above customer safety is greedy.

Perhaps the best example of greed in our modern society is the convicted former CEO of the Enron Corporation, the late Kenneth Lay. He was found guilty of fraud and conspiracy charges in one of America's biggest corporate scandals, yet he maintained his innocence until he died. After his guilty verdict he continued to protest his innocence even though the evidence presented during his trial exposed a man of wretched material excess that included $100,000 million in personal debt. Lay defended his outrageous lifestyle by saying "It was difficult to turn off that lifestyle like a spigot."

Now please don't click your tongue and give me some self-righteous outrage about the "evil rich." You don't have to be the CEO of a major corporation to suffer from the offense. You can be the poorest of the poor and be as greedy, gluttonous, and insatiable as a wealthy CEO. Someone who demands others pay their way while they do nothing to earn a living is as greedy as a plumber who overcharges a client.

A survey by the Retail Federation revealed an increase in shoplifting and employee theft. Some $32 billion worth of goods are stolen from retail outlets each year. I don't think it's the Corporate Big-Boys who are stealing nine-dollar tee shirts from Wal-Mart, do you?

Psychologist Eric Fromm warned, "Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction." Greed is a universal human problem. That's why the Catholic Church lists greed as one of the seven deadly sins.

Most of us don't consider ourselves greedy, but don't you agree that it is often difficult to make a distinction between need and greed? Look carefully at your personal motives for the accumulation of more stuff and the reaching for more power. Unchecked greed causes us to fall into our own "bottomless pit" and we never "reach satisfaction".

Do not let either speed or greed, the twin killers of success, keep you stuck in the mud.

INTROVERTS - The Invisible Geniuses



People today are full of Idiosyncrasies. Some have normal habits like drinking coffee or tea, whereas some have 'less normal' habits like drinking Fanta with coffee.

So, how do we characterize people as Introverts and Extroverts? Realistically, Who are Introverts and Extroverts?

I'm sure everyone has that one friend - The one who prefers to read while others play, one who prefers silence to mindless babble or one who shies away from the attention.

What we don't see, however, is that they may be the people who want to seize the world.

Introverts are not merely anti-social. They are the most timid, emotive and loyal friends you could possibly make. They have all the skills and knowledge required to lead, but they remain in the background, calmly observing a situation. Though introverts strive the hardest, they are usually not awarded with the appreciation they deserve. Even so, they silently march on.

A famous quote goes

"People who remain quiet hide a wealth of feelings under their harsh exterior."

This is especially true of introverts who strive to contain their turbulent emotions. Being constantly looked down upon and being pushed aside is never easy for anyone. But Introverts have the capacity to hold up surprisingly well. After all, they will be the first to sympathize if a tragedy befalls or congratulate if luck raises their head and they will be the ones to face problems head on. Introverts may be timid and shy or they may have a low self esteem. But this is because they usually over think their actions or they are not able to fully express what they want to say. In such cases, it is always better to treat them with the deference and respect that is needed for them to gain confidence in themselves and their actions.

Many of the greatest minds of the world started as introverts. Even if they do not seem so vivid as the extroverts, their slow and steady pace will definitely take them to great heights and their cautious attitude will help them overcome their problems with ease.

So, if you are an introvert like me, Never fear. Your cautiousness and tenacity will never fail you. If you are suffering through some emotional upheaval, always remember that it is just a passing phase. Finally, to say the least; stay true to yourself and your ideals because they will become your guidepost in the turbulent future. Remember,

What Is Luck?


Luck is considered by many to be a force of nature, coming and going as inevitably as the tide.

A study has found that "lucky" individuals usually posses many intersecting qualities, including extroverted personalities, a lack of anxiety, open-mindedness, and optimism. Each of these plays an important role in one's luck production.

The essence of luck is opportunity, so it follows that the more opportunities one encounters and the more receptive one is to those opportunities, the "luckier" one is. It was found that lucky people smile twice as often as others, and engage in more eye contact than unlucky people do. Such outgoing, extroverted behavior exposes a person to more opportunities due to the increased social interaction. Similarly, open-mindedness allows one to encounter a greater number of unique prospects, and makes one more apt to embrace new opportunities.

Some birthdays are better bets than others. Scientists don't tend to buy into astrology, yet they've established that certain conditions such as schizophrenia, and even personality traits such as novelty seeking, are linked to birth months. It's not the planets at work per se, but rather subtle influences on fetal brain development due to factors including sleep and wake cycles and the prevalence of viruses that differ from season to season.

Across genders and ages, people born between March and August believe themselves to be luckier, on average, than those born in the colder months of September through February. Lucky and Unlucky people- A comparison

Unlucky people often fail to follow their intuition when making a choice, whereas lucky people tend to respect hunches. Lucky people are interested in how they both think and feel about the various options, rather than simply looking at the rational side of the situation. I think this helps them because gut feelings act as an alarm bell - a reason to consider a decision carefully.

Unlucky people tend to be creatures of routine. They tend to take the same route to and from work and talk to the same types of people at parties. In contrast, many lucky people try to introduce variety into their lives. For example, one person described how he thought of a color before arriving at a party and then introduced himself to people wearing that color. This kind of behavior boosts the likelihood of chance opportunities by introducing variety.

Lucky people tend to see the positive side of their ill fortune. They imagine how things could have been worse. In one interview, a lucky volunteer arrived with his leg in a plaster cast and described how he had fallen down a flight of stairs. Principle Two: Listening to Lucky Hunches Lucky people make effective decisions by listening to their intuition and gut feelings. In addition, they take steps to actively boost their intuitive abilities by, for example, meditating and clearing their mind of other thoughts.

Principle Three: Expect Good Fortune Lucky people are certain that the future is going to be full of good fortune. These expectations become self-fulfilling prophecies by helping lucky people persist in the face of failure, and shape their interactions with others in a positive way.

Principle Four: Turn Bad Luck to Good Lucky people employ various psychological techniques to cope with, and often even thrive upon, the ill fortune that comes their way. For example, they spontaneously imagine how things could have been worse, do not dwell on the ill fortune, and take control of the situation.

Unsurprisingly, optimism plays a key role in luckiness, since it strongly affects luck production and luck perception. A study shows that a lucky, optimistic person is far more satisfied with all areas of their lives than an unlucky, pessimistic person. An optimist feels lucky for spotting a silver lining, however gray the cloud... yet a pessimist will curse their luck even in the face of good fortune, because they can't see past the green grass on the other side of the fence.

Fortunately, one's mindset is entirely within one's control. An unlucky person who resolves to change their luck can become more social; they can make a conscious effort to be optimistic and make the best of any situation; and they can be more open to new ideas and experiences.

Eliminate the Twin Killers of Success Part 1

Many worthy goals, promising relationships, and terrific business ideas are ruined by the Twin Killers of Success: speed and greed.

A cute little girl in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" wanted a golden goose and she did not want to wait for it. She danced with gusto and sang with furor, "I want it now!" Her song and attitude represents the thoughts and feelings of many people in our world today.

Speed is a big deal with most people. You wake up in the morning on the run. You watch sound-bite news while you eat your one-minute oatmeal, you check your E-mail with your high-speed Internet, you eat lunch at a fast food restaurant, you impulsively and relentlessly check your phone at any opportunity no matter how intrusive it may be. And you never stop, not even at home, not even in bed where you watch TV while you read a book, talk to your kids, and wonder about tomorrow's schedule, all at the same time.

This high-speed lifestyle can be a problem because when a real personal crisis hits you - you want it solved NOW and it can't be. Real solutions to serious problems take time and you don't have any. You want everything NOW; not in ten minutes, not tomorrow, not next week, and for sure not next year.

You can't wait that long. You have goals to reach, people to talk to, events to attend, mates to love, children to look after, parents to call, lawns to mow, meetings to go to, volunteer work to be done, and on and on and on.

I'm asking you to pause a moment and ask yourself this question: What does all this impatient high-speed living bring? Here are some likely answers: harsh words, high blood pressure, quarrels, sleeplessness, fear, and far too often, the suspension of logic.

Someone said, "Impatience cuts down a tree to reach the fruit." Ever done that?

The consequences of impatience are anxiety, fear, discouragement, and ultimately failure. Over 400 years before Christ was born Herodotus said, "Haste in every business brings failures."

Great things, on the other hand, take time. Important ventures, worthy goals, great achievements require toil, endurance, and courage. They must pass through many phases, transverse dark valleys, suffer serious setbacks, require renewed imagination, and call forth boldness.

If you are determined to wiggle out of your mud, if you are focused on a worthy goal and you do your utmost, and if you allow for the required time, you will certainly do it. So start now, but slow down. It is far better to walk to the cadence of the universe than run to the rhythm of rush hour. Important things take time.

Believe In Your Heart

I've always allowed my heart to make my final decisions for me. Because, while these decisions may not have seemed to make much "sense" at the time, the head is not the center of me; my heart is. But the heart doesn't know to be logical or to be reasonable; without fail it simply points towards more love, love without any guarantees. And while in the moment it seems folly to let the blind heart lead, it is like a compass that doesn't need sight to find true north. It is like a homing pigeon that flies straight to the unseen miracle. Heart decisions are scary decisions because they often defy reason. But as I look back over my life, the risk to love is the only redeeming thing; the richest choice I ever made. The heart is blind, true; but she saves the day every time.

I've noticed that my voice as a writer has gotten stronger with each passing year until now I'm not ashamed to shout my truth. Curiously, my real voice has softened over time as I realized that gentle and subtle are more attractive anyway. When I was young, I was speaking from a place of knowledge alone. While knowledge educates, it can't pen a book that will move you to tears; it can't be the hand of compassion that reaches for another, it can't be... fully human. Only a heart can do that. It is the countless, sleepless nights facing life alone that has forged my story into gold. This was the real change agent; facing myself. It has gifted me with a stronger and more relatable voice with which to gather others to me. Courageous writing is heart writing, and you must face your own heart squarely to hear its whispers. If you want a strong message, if you want to reach more people then ever before, reach inside and pull up your heart, holding it up for others to see. It may be uncomfortable at times, it may even be painful, but your heart's voice is the only authentic voice you've been given, and to ignore it is to unwittingly allow someone else's hand to dictate your history.

It's what you say to yourself when you're staring at the ceiling late at night that other people can relate to, and are hoping you'll have the courage to say. This is because when one person steps out in a vulnerable way, that heroic action goes out like a gentle but mighty wave, seducing and melting the feigned strength and misunderstandings all around. As if by magic, other hearts begin unlocking, and the dull air becomes lighter and brighter. Everyone is chuckling through the tears now, mainly at themselves: at the door they kept shut so tightly. Standing on the other side of it, it's easy to see the door was more like a window, and it was meant to stay open. The fresh air feels right and reminds them that everyone is a beautiful mess inside. The thoughts that were haunting them, the unspoken mysteries inside-especially the longings that kept them awake at night were really weaving a song, and to not sing that song would be like stealing a songbird's voice.

Go inside, because most people only go on the outside. The softest part of the fruit is at the center. Go inward and find your own shaky, fumbling, uncertain voice. Your center has something to say. It has a message-it always has. While you may have forgotten it or dropped it along the way, if your heart's still beating, there's still plenty of time. Believing your heart isn't really the hard part; the hard part is fighting it. That will wear you out faster than anything. If your heart's tired of fighting, it's not because it wasn't meant to. The heart was designed for courage; the courage of a lion... just look what you've come through! Your heart's always fighting for something, isn't it? At the center of you is a fighter who keeps being resurrected time and again. If your heart's tired, it's been fighting in the wrong direction. It's been arguing with the mind, having to answer to its ridiculous rules again. The minute you give way to the roll of the ocean wave it will flood in, washing away the doubt and mistrust, and you'll see clearly again: the door that slammed shut was really a window all along. The fighter in the center of you would rather fight for the only thing worth fighting for: love... sweet love.

Listening to your heart isn't dangerous; not listening to the voice beating inside is the only danger you'll ever face. Your mind will always have its strong opinions; it will go on proclaiming its rightness; that you can count on. Yet only the heart knows the way. It knows the way out of doubt and confusion. It knows the way out of mistrust and cynicism. It knows the way out of stagnation and boredom. It knows the way out of the basement of your soul; it knows which way is up, and it knows where the light hides. Your heart is a compass, and when you train yourself to see without having to see, all that was unsolved in your heart will unravel before your disbelieving mind. Let it marvel! Let it call you kooky, or any other label or name it wants to give you because it doesn't understand. Let them all marvel-because believing in your heart only leads to one place: your freedom. All your heart wants is for you to be free; free of the tyrannical mind. Most of all, believe in your heart because it will always tell you the truth.

Why Do You Do What You Do?

It is important to have a clear understanding of why you do things in life. Your understanding will make you realise how important is the reason behind your doing. You may find out that the thing that you're doing doesn't have a great reason or purpose behind it.

For instance, you may have a job that you consider to be decent. The thing is that you haven't really questioned why you are working in this job. Sure, it pays well, and you don't mind the work.

But there's something deep down telling you that this job is not who you are and that there is something greater for you to do. That is your why speaking to you. It is trying to get you to question whether there is a greater purpose for what you do.

Think about the important reasons for why you work other than earning money. Do you enjoy what you do? Are you passionate? Does it make a positive difference to people's lives? Are you able to enjoy more time outside of work with friends and family?

Having a greater purpose besides earning money to just 'survive' is so important. Once you are doing things with real purpose you will start enjoying your life and living it to the fullest. You will also be able to continue what you do in the long-run, even when the going gets tough.

Most people try to figure out how to do something, before they know why they are doing it. The 'how' comes naturally when the 'why' has been understood. Even if you don't know how something is done, as long as you know why you are doing it, you will eventually get there.

Your why is the motivation and the drive. It is the reason you won't give up and you will keep going until you achieve the things that you want.

A couple of years back, I remember when my parents didn't have the money to pay for a very expensive private college that they wanted me to attend. They didn't know at all how they would pay for it, all they knew is that I would have a better chance at graduating with high grades and a better career.

So they decided that I would attend the college. During my time at college, my parents started working harder, loans were taken and somehow we managed to pay for all the fees. If we didn't have a big why, I wouldn't have been able to continue with my studies.

Another example, is that of my Online Business that is solely run over the Internet, with the purpose to help people to earn a living through establishing their own online businesses.

The real reason for choosing this career path is that I am able to work under my own terms, choosing my own working hours and location. Furthermore is the opportunity I have of helping others to create their own online businesses and live a similar lifestyle as mine. This is my why. This is the reason why I enjoy it and continue to do it.

Remember to have clarity of your why with whatever it is that you do. It will make you realise the bigger purpose in your life, and it will be your motivation and drive.

Feeling Happy All The Time



Everyone wants to be happy all the time and in each moment but it seems like an impossible job for doing that. It might be so hard feeling happy all the time. We could be someone who is going through some tough times, or someone who is facing a problem like below:

  • My boss just fired me and this is so unfair.
  • My wife just told me our marriage is over.
  • I just had a car accident, my car was totally destroyed but thank's God I'm fine.

When we have problems in our lives, they present themselves in a way that makes us feel unhappy. So it's obviously that all people have problems. There is no one  without problems. What makes us special is how we face  our problems? Maybe we must try to find a solution other than thinking about them and waiting to be solved by themselves. We need to find the best possible solution for that problem. When we are facing a problem, we need to see the good side of it. Let's take for an example the last "problem" I mentioned above.

Feeling happy all the time isn't so hard!

So I or you, or whoever else just had a car accident. He was driving an expensive car which was totally destroyed. He didn't have any insurance coverage and for that reason, he won't get any refund. However, despite all this he was not injured and totally fine. This is what he should see, this side. We must find another viewpoint of that negative situation and in this way, we could be happier. We may be in another situation that might be not in our control, but we can always control our perspective, and making the effort to look at the bright side of any situation instead of focusing on all of the negative aspects you see will make you a happier person. I'm sure that each problem has a positive side. We just need to be capable of seeing it.

Another way to be happier in each moment could be by learning to embrace the present moment instead of feeling regret for the past or dreading the future. We must live and enjoy our present moment instead dreading the future. We must learn to appreciate the things in front of us, the good time we are having and we'll see our happiness level rise dramatically once we get the hang of it.

You know that humor is another great way to be happier in each moment? Of course, it is. A good sense of humour is a great inner strength. We don't need to be a comedian to use humour effectively. We must see the funny side of situations and we'll often be able to cope better. Jokes have a way of making worries seem less important. Making someone laugh, will increase our happiness level for sure.

We need to smile more often if we want to be happier. Smiling more often has some great benefits, like it makes us seem friendly, look more attractive, feel happier and less stressed. By smiling more often we'll feel more positive about ourselves and the world. It's heart-warming and has the power to cheer up others instantly.

You know what you are worth so go out there and get it. Rocky Balboa said it best with his speech to his son about life. G-d knows the type of person you are so it won't throw you anything at you that you can't really handle. More the challenges you face, prouder you should be about how G-d perceives you. I understand that sometimes, when life is not fair, you always ask yourself what did you do to deserve this kind of treatment? Why is life so hard at times? How can you make it better and live life peacefully? It all depends on how you see things and how you react. If you panic at first sign of distress, how can you make the right decision about anything in your life? You want to stay calm and collected so you can understand the problem and take measures to fix whatever issues you are facing. There is no need to get alarmed because it won't help you when it comes to finding the best solution. You will always learn and once you think you know everything, you will realize that they is more to come. More to learn, more to accept and more of everything else. There is nothing you can do to alleviate the inevitable. When you realize you can't change everything, you will start living your life.

Many out there will be happy with the strict minimum, never looking to accomplish more. They will be OK with what they have and live their life accordingly. For each their own and there is not anything wrong living life this way. However, if you want more for yourself, expect to see the mountain getting taller and taller as you are climbing it. The bar is raised higher, especially when you want to reach the top. It seems to be so but it is your own perception and negativity that is creating this never ending challenge of reaching the top. You are adding more and more height to justify your thought process that life is supposed to be like that and I have to deal with it. Yes, life is hard but no one is asking you to add more challenges to yourself. What is the point of all that? Focus on what is existing and not what you can mentally add. Once you've mastered this process, you can safely continue climbing the ladder and eventually reach the top. I am not saying that the top doesn't require energy and effort, but not as much effort as you would perceive it to be. Take a breather, re-energize yourself and focus on what is in front of you, instead of what you think success should require. Just a few more feet and you are up there. Stay strong my friends!

Five Simple Rituals to Start Your Day Mindfully

I used to begin my day by pressing the snooze button about four times, scrolling through Instagram and email for a few minutes, dragging myself to the shower, smearing some makeup on my face and running out the door without breakfast. While it might have gotten me out the door in a timely manner, it did nothing for my mental well-being!

Recently I started to begin my day in a more mindful way. I've noticed that when I take time to center myself in the morning, that calm energy reverberates throughout the rest of my day. Morning self-care practices help us stay more calm, centered and focused. In turn, this helps us to be more efficient, effective and creative. Commit to at least one of the below rituals for thirty days and see if your mornings aren't completely transformed.

Below are 5 simple self-care rituals that you can easily integrate into your morning routine:

1. Intention Setting. Before I get out of bed or check my phone in the morning, I like to set an intention. "Intention setting" is different from goal setting. An intention is an expression of our soul's desire for that day. It could be something like: "Allow me to accept what life brings to me with equanimity and grace," "Allow me to make the time to be creative today" or "Provide me the space to take life less seriously today."

2. Meditation. I've found nothing more effective to start my day off on a positive note than the practice of meditation. Meditation also has a cumulative effect: the more often you practice, the greater the results. A daily meditation practice has helped me cultivate inner-peace and has given me more access to my creativity.

3. Gratitude. A gratitude list is a great way to both start and end your day. Making the time to jot down three things that you're grateful for every morning is a quick and easy way to connect with your higher self. There is even a journal specifically formatted for writing daily gratitude lists. It's called The Five Minute Journal and I highly recommend it if you're someone who would like to start a gratitude journal but have never done so before.

4. Affirmation cards. I am a huge fan of affirmation cards. Many "self-help gurus" make them, but my favorites are Louise Hay's Power Thought Cards. Every morning, after my meditation, I like to hold these cards in my hands and ask that I be guided to pick a card that will serve me today. I then close my eyes and shuffle the cards until I feel moved to stop. I pick one out of the deck, open my eyes and read the card. One of things that I like most about these cards is that unlike Tarot Cards, all of the cards in this deck are positive and inspirational.

5. Mindful Eating. Many of us don't take the time in the morning to sit down for five to ten minutes and simply eat our breakfast. And even if we do, it's often in front of the computer or our smartphone. It's a gift to your body and mind to eat mindfully and simply focus on the action of chewing before getting caught up in the daily rat race. We place a huge value on multi-tasking in our culture, but there are enormous mental benefits to single-tasting.

While you often can't control the events in your life, you can help yourself approach your day with some self-care. If we start our day mindfully, we have a much better chance of staying centered no matter what the day brings.

All Done by Kindness



Advit, a 6 year old boy, went to school with his father every day. On his way he saw an old man in tattered clothes, sitting in a corner, half asleep. One day he asked his father, "Dad, Who is he? Why doesn't he go to his home"?

His father replied, "Son, he is a man who does not have enough money to buy good clothes, or live in his own house. So, he lives there". Son replied "But daddy, that is a pedestrian path".

Next day, while passing from there, he got down the car and went to the old man. "Daddu" said Advit and opened his lunch box. The old man looked up with his eyes swollen and wet. For the first time someone had called the old man Daddu. Tears of happiness rolled down Daddu's wrinkled face.

Advit smiled, hugged Daddu and gave him the rose he had.

The old man brimmed with emotions. Advit's affectionate gesture brought cheerfulness and positivity to the many that stood there. Such is the power of kindness.

Kindness is when you treat people gently with love, affection, and care. It is something that comes from within. It is not a thing to be mastered but if you are kind, if you have the benevolence within, the feeling is striking.

An act of kindness cannot be defined; an act of kindness is shown!

2. Give surprises - It's a Mother's day or a father's day, gift them something. Nothing can make you happier than an unexpected gift or a gesture. 
3. Do some Charity - there are kids, old people, youngsters battling with some serious illnesses, going through tough times- help them. Donate your stuff. 
4. Give compliments- somebody has done his task tremendously well. Congratulate him. Give him a pat. Praise him. 
5. Say 'awesome!' - She dressed up nicely to go out with you. You say "you look good". No! Say awesome instead. Give them cards, hug them, buy gifts for them, and send some flowers. 
6. Always say Please, Sorry and Thank You - be polite while talking. When you say sorry, mean it. Don't order anyone. If you want someone's help, always request. Thank people for helping, how so ever minor the help be. 
7. Listen, don't interrupt- do not underestimate the power of listening. People do not always need a solution. At times they just need you to listen to them. Let them do the talking. Listen patiently. 
8. Salute the brave - that little kid saved you from a cockroach, acknowledge it. Salute him for his bravery. 
9. Stop for the pedestrian to cross the road. 
10. Give way to ambulance. 
11. Help the old lady carrying groceries. Hold the bag for her. Help her climb the stairs. 
12. Express - Say I love you to someone you love. Say that you care. 
13. Offer your seat to the needy. 
14. Take pains- don't buy a card for your friend's birthday, make one yourself instead. It might be the cheapest gift but it'll be the most treasured one. 
15. Teach the underprivileged - a lot many people do not have access to education. Spread the knowledge, teach them for free. 
16. Aid the wounded animal. Take him to a vet. 
17. Smile at a stranger or say hello. May be he is having a bad day and your smile can be a healer.Yes, smile a lot, it costs nothing. 
18. Spread positivity- help the person stay positive by motivating and encouraging him. Tell him how you failed and then pulled back stories. 
19. Help the differently able.

We barely notice the smaller things in life. Make people feel loved, be kind to them, help them and take pleasure in a healthier living. Your little gestures can make someone's day. Your smile can set all their problems to rest. Remember, at the end of the day pen down things you have done to make others happy. Keep a track of your good deeds. This will make you merrier.
